One of the most successful collaborations in Tamil cinema, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay and director Atlee have tasted grand success with each of their films they have worked on together. Starting with Theri in 2016, Vijay and Atlee then continued their blockbuster run with Mersal in 2017 and have yet again hit the bullseye now with their recently-released, Bigil, which came out worldwide this Diwali. In that light, an Assamese action drama film titled, Ratnakar: A New Myth of Love, said to be loosely inspired from Theri, has also become a blockbuster hit now. Ratnakar revolves around a single father played by Jatin Bora and his struggle to raise his daughter portrayed by Dubori and goes on to build on their bond.
