Actor Vidyut Jammwal was recently seen in the Hindi action drama, Yaara which released directly on Zee 5 platform. He shared screen space with Shruti Haasan, Amit Sadh and others in this film that got decent reviews. The super stylish actor is all geared up for the release of his next film, Khuda Haafiz which is set to release on August 14 on Disney + Hotstar streaming platform. Directed by Faruk Kabir, Khuda Haafiz has music scored by Mithoon, cinematography by Jitan Harmeet Singh and editing by Sandeep Francis. Apart from Vidyut Jammwal, the film also stars Shivaleeka Oberoi, Annu Kapoor, Shiv Panditt, Aahana Kumra, Vipin Sharma in important roles. The film's trailer which released a few days before, opened to a good reception from the fans and it looked quite promising. Khuda Haafiz's story is inspired by true events.

Ahead of the film’s release, Galatta Media had an exclusive interview with Vidyut Jammwal as part of the promotions. During the interview, the Billa 2 actor shared interesting experiences of working in Tamil films and said that he loves Tamil cinema so much as the place has given him some real good friends and co-actors. He was all praise for actors Vijay, Ajith and Suriya for their humble character. He will be remembered by Tamil cinema fans for his performance as the antagonist in Vijay’s Thuppakki, directed by A.R.Murugadoss.

Talking about his experience acting in the film and his rapport with Vijay, Vidyut Jammwal said, “We had a lot of fun. Vijay is an amazing person. He is one of the fit guys we have here and he loves action. Actually, he loves to talk about action and we’ve talked a lot before getting in front of the camera. He is a great action hero we have in the country right now. Thuppakki will always be close to me because it gave me everything I wanted in life. It was not just the people of South who saw Thuppakki. The film was very popular here as well and a lot of people saw it. What a wonderful experience I had working in the film. I still remember going to Vijay's house after the film’s release for the success party where he (Vijay) hugged me tight and said that he is very proud of me.
