Mohanlal's highly successful Drishyam 2 has been remade in Telugu as Drushyam 2 and the Telugu version features Venkatesh and Meena in the lead roles. Drishyam was also remade in Telugu with the same cast and the sequel is now all set for release. Earlier today (November 12), the makers officially announced that Drushyam 2 will be releasing on November 25 which means that we are less than two weeks away from witnessing the film. Drushyam 2 will skip the theatrical release and go for a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video.

Venkatesh's previous outing, Narappa (remake of Asuran) also had a direct OTT release on Prime Video and now, Drushyam 2 will mark his second direct OTT release. Meena, whose latest release, Annaatthe, is running in theatres, will be looking forward to the release of Drushyam 2 that will showcase her acting potential.

Nadhiya reprises the role played by Asha Sharath in the original version, while Naresh, Sampath Raj, Kruthika, Jayakumar, and Esther Anil are also a part of the star cast. Venkatesh will be seen playing the character of Rambabu, who goes to any extent to protect his family. Drishyam 2 that released earlier this year, opened to highly positive reviews from the critics and general audience and it is going to be interesting to see how the Telugu version of the film is received. Produced by Suresh Productions, in association with Aashirvad Cinemas and Rajkumar Theatres, Drushyam 2 has music composed by Anup Rubens, while the cinematography and editing are handled by Satheesh Kurup and Marthand K Venkatesh respectively.
