Vanitha Vijayakumar’s name has been on the headlines for the past few days and we have been seeing numerous interviews and videos regarding her marriage with Peter Paul which turned out to be controversial. Having said that, YouTuber Suriya Devi was arrested last night by the Vadapalani Police who enquired her about her controversial videos concerning Vanitha. We had also reported about it this morning. Following that, Suriya Devi was granted bail and was released earlier today (July 23). Having said that, Vanitha Vijayakumar has now issued an official statement regarding this issue.

She said that she and Peter Paul do not have to clarify anyone about the proceedings and assured that they’d handle the case legally. Talking through a statement, Vanitha said, “Dear well wishers, fans and media friends… I wanted an FIR filed against a cyber crime by suriya devi and law take its course of action. She was arrested as per law and retained in the police station her children were cared for by a relative. Being a woman and having children cannot be a reason to be a criminal and commit offenses without being punished. All of us are equal in front of law.

But though she humiliated and harassed me without any humanity I still didn't want to remand her as her kids will suffer. Kids are always the real victims. We haven't objected to her bail and she is released in some conditions. But the crime she has committed must not continue. I am not giving anymore interviews on this issue as it's a simple waste of time as there is no more clarification needed and we will handle his divorce through our lawyers. I know some people are misusing this situation to make money from public and gain visibility in media.

Through this statement, Vanitha has made it clear that she will henceforth not give any interviews or be available on social media for the next few months. With Vanitha telling that she and Peter Paul would handle the divorce case legally in the court, let us hope the issue gets resolved as soon as possible.
