Vaada to hit screens on April 14

Vaada, starring Sundar C. and Sheryl Pinto, directed by A. Venkatesh, has earned the distinction for being the first Tamil film to be shot exclusively in Rishikesh. “It’s an action entertainer with a lot of humour thrown in. One of the highlights is that Sundar C., who shed a few kilos for his role, has performed all the stunts on his own without a body double,” the director said to a leading English daily.

“A major part of the story unravels in Rishikesh. The hero comes here on a mission and he joins Vivek’s travel agency as a driver. Sheryl plays the role of the owner of the building where Vivek’s office is located,” he added.

Imman has composed the music for Vaada. Produced by Mohan Radha, the film is a laugh riot peppered with adequate action and romance.

The comedy track is been played by Vivek imitating yesteryears comedian Surali Rajan. The film also includes a remix song 'Ennadi Rakkamma Pallakku’ (from Pattikkaada Pattinama, the Sivaji-Jayalalitha starrer of the 70s). The specialty of this remix song of Vaada is that Khushbu, Sundar C.’s wife, will make a guest appearance in it.
