Upendra has finally decided to take legal action against Niranjan Shetty who had claimed recently that the actor had used his story in Katari Veera Surasundarangi. Niranjan, a scriptwriter, obtained temporary injunction of the post-production works, after watching the promos of the film, as he felt that Upendra’s KVSS was quite similar to a story that he narrated to Upendra, a few years ago.

Now, Upendra, who is upset with Niranjan, has approached the Chemmanakere police station, as he made false complaints against him. He has also started filing a defamation case against the script writer.

However, amidst all these issues, Katari Veera Surasundarangi hit screens in over 170 theatres across Karnataka, today, and is getting positive reviews from all quarters.
