Malayalam films have found themselves a new market in Tamil and audiences seem to love it right from Premam to Bangalore Days and it even paved way for PuliMurugan to be dubbed in Tamil.

Now, a proper remake is going to drop in, in the lines of Paapanasam which is a remake of Drishyam and Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi.

Director Priyadarshan had roped in Udhayanidhi Stalin and he will be given the mammoth task of filling up the role played by Fahadh Faasil in the original Malayalam movie Maheshinte Prathikaaram. It is the story of a guy and his decision to never wear a slipper until he beats the man who insulted him. If properly converted into Tamil, this could deliver the much needed story films that Kollywood direly needs.
