Trisha, who recently wrapped up the shooting of Mani Ratnam's historical epic, Ponniyin Selvan, has officially started her next project and the details regarding the same are out. Trisha will be making her debut in the digital space with her maiden web series which is titled Brinda. This web series is being shot in Telugu, while it will have a dubbed release in Tamil and other languages. Brinda is being made for the popular OTT streaming platform, Sony Liv which is slowly gaining momentum in the South. The series was officially launched with a formal Pooja on Friday, October 15, after which the shoot commenced.

This web series is directed by Surya Vangala, while Dinesh K babu has been assigned to take care of the cinematography. Shakthi Kanth Karthick will be composing the tunes for Brinda which is produced by Avinash Kolla and Ashish Kolla. Details regarding the rest of the star cast are yet to be known. Trisha officially announced the project through a tweet in which she shared a picture of her and wrote, "Say a lil prayer for us #Brinda".

Trisha has several exciting films in her lineup and the highlight project among the lot will be Ponniyin Selvan. Trisha will be seen playing the iconic character of Kundhavai and it is going to be exciting to see how the talented actress has performed in the historical epic. Ponniyin Selvan is directed by Mani Ratnam and produced by Madras Talkies, in association with Lyca Productions. With music by A.R.Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varman, the film features Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the other leads. The film is currently in post production stages - with the dubbing works progressing in full swing.
