At the audio launch of Vikram's Iru Mugan, director Hari announced an interesting news. If all goes well, fans will get to see a sequel for the electrifying Saamy. Shibu Thameens will bankroll the project while Harris will be the music director. Saamy was one of the biggest blockbusters in Tamil cinema and is considered as a landmark film for both Vikram and Harri.
Vikram in a recent interview clarified that he will play the role of a cop with grey shades in the second instalment. "It's not a forced sequel. We decided that if some outstanding script develops, we will work together. Saamy 2 is one such script. I will be playing a cop who has grey shades. The project will kick-start only in February. I will start shooting for Garuda, with Thiru next," he was quoted saying.
Now, actress Trisha has expressed her excitement in reuniting with Vikram and Hari in the second part. However, she also added that the film is in its nascent stage and will take time for the final script to get ready.
