Actor Vishal’s fans are set to have a great year ahead as the star’s upcoming film, Action, under director Sundar. C is gearing up for a theatrical release soon. The star is also working on an untitled film with debutant director Anand, which many are stating is a sequel/spinoff to last year’s smash hit, Irumbu Thirai. Likewise, it was only a while back when acclaimed director Myskkin had announced that he is making Thupparivaalan 2, the sequel to his 2017 superhit film, Thupparivaalan, with location scouting already underway. Now, Vishal has taken to his Twitter page to officially announce that legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja will be scoring the music for Thupparivaalan 2. Vishal has made the announcement of ‘Maestro’ Ilaiyaaraja scoring the music for Thupparivaalan 2 on the occasion of himself celebrating his fifteenth year in the film industry. To be produced under the Vishal Film Factory, Thupparivaalan 2 will see Vishal and Prasanna reprising their roles as private detectives Kaniyan Poongundran and Manohar. Thupparivaalan was loosely inspired by acclaimed British author Arthur Conan Doyle's detective character, Sherlock Holmes and it now remains to be seen if Thupparivaalan 2 will pick up from where the original left off or whether it will be centered on a new mystery.
