One of the biggest announcements of this year was when it was officially revealed that National Award-winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy and ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi would be collaborating for a third film after their previous successes, Thenmerku Paruvakaatru and Dharma Durai.

Reportedly titled Maamanithan, this upcoming project will see ‘Maestro’ Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja join hands for the music with the latter also producing under his YSR Films banner after the huge success of his debut production venture, Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, that came out earlier this year. A while back, we had revealed that Vijay Sethupathi would be playing the role of an auto driver in the film with reports now stating the team is at present shooting at Kumbakonam.
