EXCLUSIVE: Varisu director Vamshi Paidipally breaks silence on memes and trolls - here's his reply! WATCH VIDEO!

Thalapathy vijay varisu director vamshi paidipally responds to trolls and memes - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Blockbuster Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally has hit the bulls-eye in Tamil with 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu, which continues to witness a phenomenal audience turnout in cinemas everywhere. The family entertainer has struck a chord with the young and the elderly alike crossing the 250-crore mark in worldwide collections recently and has set the wheels in motion for a grand year ahead for Tamil cinema. With Varisu continuing to see its success streak at the box office, Vamshi Paidipally sat down for an exclusive interview with Galatta to talk about the experience of making the film, while also addressing the debate around the statements he made during another media interaction recently, including the subsequent trolling on social media.

Vamshi said, "I saw the response. But, if you watch that whole interview, that context is not there. It was only those two minutes and that's the problem here. What is happening here is that everything is becoming like fast food. If you see the full interview, my context was totally different and it was not just that point. The memes and all these things keep happening. I know that I didn't tell it with that meaning or anything because I'm a person who respects each and every kind of creative mode. So, the way the question came, and if you see the context also, it wasn't about that and it was about a particular aspect and it then went into that mode."

Explaining his statements furthermore, Vamshi added, "As I said, I too am a human being and I have my emotions. And, it's always like when a question comes my way, how I answer or how Lokesh Kanagaraj and H. Vinoth replied, and the context of that timing might be a lot different. The situations might be different. If I'm not respecting the audience for their hard-earned money or their time, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you because there's an audience still alive in me. There has to be an audience alive inside every creator. The whole context of how it started and how it ended was different. But, the two minutes of what I spoke differently came out. What I'm saying here is that the way that you might disrespect my work, I'm telling you once again that I won't disrespect my work. If I'm doing that, then I cannot move forward. I respect my work as much as I respect others' perspectives too. At the same time, don't do it with a personal vengeance or an agenda as that is my problem. You analyze the film, give it a perspective, and as I told you, it's a subjective expression. But, before going to the film, you start degrading and criticizing the film and that's my problem. And, that's when I said, 'How hard everybody works to give a product? It's not easy, brother.' That emotion went up a little because as I said I too am human and sometimes we go beyond and that happened that day. Whether I'm earning in crores or not, depends on my kind of work and what I'm delivering because the producer or any person associated with the film has to feel that the person they're paying this much is really worth it. Otherwise, why will they pay you? Nobody will pay anyone and you have to earn that. And, that's happening because of the efforts you put in. Here, nobody is degrading anything. These days, the context is being changed into multiple things and I cannot give an answer to each and everything. And, regarding the memes, I enjoy them because if they are being created, then that means you're still in existence. If I take this seriously, I cannot enjoy the other things that are beautiful in my life. Life is what you make out of it and I want to make my life beautiful and I want to move on."
