A star who has been conquering new peaks with each passing year in his two decade career, actor Vijay, or as he is lovingly called as ‘Thalapathy’ by his fans enjoys a fanbase unlike any other in recent times. Having delivered several blockbusters in his glorious career, Vijay will next be seen in the highly anticipated action sports drama, Bigil, under director Atlee this Diwali and will also simultaneously begin filming for his recently announced, Thalapathy 64, under director Lokesh Kanagaraj. That said, Vijay fans always keep a close eye on anything and everything related to the actor and likewise, the superstar’s son, Jason Sanjay, is celebrating his 19th birthday today (August 26). Meanwhile, we here at Galatta had gotten in touch with the birthday boy’s grandfather, veteran director S. A. Chandrasekhar, and queried on Jason Sanjay’s plans for his future. SAC had revealed saying, “As of now, he is studying a direction course and his interest lies foremost in it. So far, he hasn’t consulted me on films and filmmaking, but I do see him to turn into a big creator in the future. He is a quiet and adorable grandson with a lot of talent,”.
Jason Sanjay, who is now being called as ‘Ilaya Thalapathy’, a title once held by his father, Vijay, up until the release of Mersal, is expected to enter films in the years ahead. It wasn’t a long time back when Jason Sanjay had directed an English short film titled, Junction, along with his peers, which went on to receive a good response from fans online. He had also acted in a short film titled SIRI, leaving many fans quite excited on his involvement with the art of filmmaking. It is a known fact that Jason Sanjay had made an impactful appearance in his father Vijay’s 2009 film, Vettaikaaran, in the ‘Naan Adicha’ song, which went on to become a smash hit. Vijay’s daughter, Divya Sasha, too had made a noticeable appearance in the 2016 blockbuster, Theri, towards the end of the film.
