Thalapathy Vijay’s Master is running successfully in theatres across the globe and the film has indeed revived the theatrical business in style. When many producers opted for a direct digital release during the pandemic, Vijay and the team of Master were patient for the situation to get better and after waiting for 9 months, the film was released on January 13. Master was released in a record number of screens across the country and notably, Master was the first pan Indian release for Vijay. The theatre exhibitors from North India are very happy with the performance of the film’s Hindi dubbed version and things are looking good in other places of the country, as well.

The film was dubbed and released in Telugu on the same day and it was released by Mahesh S Koneru, a popular producer and distributor in Telugu cinema. Mahesh released the film on a wide number of screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the performance has been quite heartening. Despite a few original Telugu releases like Krack, Master has managed to hold well at the box office. Mahesh S Koneru has apparently met Thalapathy Vijay recently and thanked him for his wholehearted support to release the film in the theatres. Mahesh shared his experience about meeting Vijay in a new tweet which has now gone viral among the fans.

Mahesh S Koneru tweeted, “Just met Thalapathy @actorvijay sir to thank him on behalf of entire @EastCoastPrdns team, the distributors & exhibitors of #MasterTelugu.. Vijay sir is very happy with the love being shown by film lovers in Telugu States & has expressed his gratitude to his Telugu fans”. It is indeed good to know from this tweet that Vijay is happy and glad about the response to Master and it looks like the team’s long and patient wait has paid off neatly. Master is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Xavier Britto’s XB Film Creators.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist in the film and his face-off against Vijay was one of the biggest highlights of Master and the duo’s scenes set the screens on fire. Anirudh Ravichander has scored music for the film and his work was one of the major positives for the movie. For now, check out Mahesh S Koneru’s latest tweet about meeting Thalapathy Vijay here:
