The countdown is on and the excitement is sky-high for 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master, which hits screens worldwide on January 13. Coming out as a grand Pongal treat, Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators banner and featuring chart-buster music by Anirudh Ravichander has been hitting all the right notes on the promotional front. The mass masala action entertainer, which will see Vijay locking horns with 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the antagonist, has so far had four special pre-release promos after the makers decided to skip the tradition of dropping a trailer.

So far, all the four Master promos have received an astounding response from fans, who have been watching the new visuals on each of them on a loop. The first Master promo carried the announcement of the 'Vaathi Coming' song crossing 100 million views on YouTube, with the second giving us the first taste of 'Thalapathy' Vijay's intense voice, while the third emphasizing on the superstar taking charge of the action in the college backdrop and the fourth was the first time we caught sight of him romancing Malavika Mohanan to the hit 'Andha Kanna Paathaakaa' song sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Being distributed by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios, Master is gearing up for a massive theatrical outing as it will be coming out in more than 800 theatres in Tamil Nadu alone. It is to be noted that there are talks doing the rounds that theatre owners are planning to increase the number of shows after the Tamil Nadu government had to take back their own Government Order (GO) of increasing the occupancy to 100% in cinema halls in the state after the Ministry of Home Affairs had intervened. Master's release is not only being awaited by fans, but by the theatre owners and the trade, with expectations sky-high that the film will be the launchpad to revive the industry once again.

A pan-Indian release, Master is also being released simultaneously in Hindi under the title Vijay The Master alongside the Tamil, Telugu and the Kannada versions. Apart from Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan, Master's diverse cast also includes Andrea Jeremiah, Kaithi villain Arjun Das, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal among others.

Introducing us to Vijay Sethupathi in action, XB Film Creators tweeted the fifth Master promo and wrote on Twitter, "Edhirla varadhu emanaa irundhaalum bayapuda kudaadhu! 🔥 - MakkalSelvan  @VijaySethuOffl". Watch 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master promo 5 below:
