'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master has been a film that has been widely discussed among fans since it rolled into production last year as it will see the superstar sharing screen space with 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the antagonist. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators banner, the upcoming mass action thriller is being distributed by Lalit Kumar of 7 Screen Studios and is carrying sky-high expectations unlike any other Vijay film in recent times. With Master set for a Pongal release on January 13, 2021, XB Film Creators has now shared a new picture of a meeting between producer Xavier Britto and distributor Lalit Kumar.

As of now, not much is known about the sudden meeting between Xavier Britto and Lalit Kumar, but it is believed the two caught up to possibly discuss the release plan for Master. Considering the film's release is less than 40 days away, the team will be looking to finalize on the various logistics involved in bringing it out in theatres. It is to be noted that Xavier Britto and Lalit Kumar had recently in a joint press release made it clear that Master will only be released in theatres and not on any  OTT platform as was being speculated a while back. "Though we have an offer from a reputed OTT service provider, we prefer to the theatrical release, which is the need of the hour for the industry to survive the on-going crisis. We also request the theatre owners to stand with us and provide their support for reviving the Tamil Film Industry", XB Film Creators' press note read. Check out the picture below:

Everything for the Master team has so far gone its way, with the exception of the film's release earlier this year, which had to be postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Announced initially to come out in theatres worldwide on April 9, 2020, the film's release had been a subject of huge debate among fans and those in the industry. Theatre-owners too have been approving the decision of Master to be released on the big screen as there is a strong belief that Vijay's star power supported by Vijay Sethupathi's screen presence will do wonders in resuscitating the film business. Considering the response to the film's teaser has been thunderous and all sights next on the Master trailer, we can expect the hype to shoot up even higher as the days pass. The film will also see Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, followed by Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal among others forming the supporting cast.
