The 'Thalapathy' Vijay and 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi starrer, Master, which hit theatres as a grand Pongal release this week is being celebrated worldwide, with the mass masala action entertainer taking an earth-shattering opening in theatres everywhere. As Master continues to storm the box office, it has now been officially announced that the film will be remade in Hindi jointly by Endemol Shine India, Cine1 Studios and Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios, with the casting set to commence soon. 7 Screen Studios is already distributing Master in Tamil, with Endemol Shine India known among fans to be the makers of the reality TV show, Bigg Boss.

All sights will be set on who will be cast to reprise Vijay's role as the professor John Durairaj (JD) and Vijay Sethupathi's antagonist character Bhavani as the Master Hindi remake now announced. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators banner, Master has turned out to be a sensational hit, with the makers on Thursday evening officially revealing the Tamil Nadu Day 1 collections to be 25+ crores. The box office numbers are truly astounding considering the state government had only allowed 50% occupancy in theatres in line with the COVID-19 norms. It is to be noted that the film has also been dubbed in Hindi under the title Vijay The Master, which is the first time since Puli that a Vijay film has been released across India.

Master is set to witness a bigger audience turnout in the days ahead, especially as the weekend is nearing, with expectations that families will throng theatres in view of the Pongal celebrations. Master has without a doubt revived the film industry business and movie-watching experience, with theatre owners along with the fans celebrating the stunning opening. The film was initially scheduled to hit screens in April last year, but got pushed to nearly a year due to the pandemic, with the hype since then skyrocketing with each passing day.

Apart from Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, Master featuring chart-buster music by Anirudh Ravichander, also includes in its diverse cast names like Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, with Andrea Jeremiah, Kaithi villain Arjun Das, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal among others in vital supporting roles.
