Actor Vijay, loving called by his fans as ‘Thalapathy’, enjoys a massive fan following across South India and is one of the most popular superstars with his films carrying massive box office expectations prior to their release. Vijay, who has hinted on a few occasions his interest to make enter politics, has also spoken serious social and political issues in his films of late, with his Sarkar, released last year, going on to fetch him a stupendous response for his intense and action-packed performance. Although not much is known about who Vijay’s favorite political leaders are, director Subramaniam Siva of Thiruda Thirudi fame recently in an interview revealed that the superstar’s choices were Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K. Kamaraj from India and German dictator Adolf Hitler.

Director Subramaniam Siva, who played the character Mani in Dhanush’s Vada Chennai under Vetrimaaran’s direction last year, also went on to reveal that Vijay was not the first choice for the 2002 action film, Bagavathi. He stated that director A.Venkatesh had first written the role for ‘Top Star’ Prashanth with the project not materializing after which the story was rewritten with a few changes for Vijay.

As for Vijay’s upcoming projects, he will next be seen in the action sports entertainer, Bigil, hitting screens this Diwali in October followed by Thalapathy 64 under Lokesh Kanagaraj’s direction being planned for an April/May 2020 release.
