A massive film right from the get go, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Bigil, coming out in theatres in October as a grand release has been carrying sky-high expectations and is the third time director Atlee has teamed up with the superstar after their previous blockbusters, Theri and Mersal. With shooting wrapped up a while back and post-production works being carried forward in a full-fledged manner, AGS Entertainment’s Archana Kalpathi, who is serving as the Creative Producer on the upcoming sports action drama has now dropped a massive announcement on Twitter saying the Bigil Telugu rights have been bagged by producer Mahesh S. Koneru’s East Coast Productions banner and will be releasing across 400 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The reputed Telugu producer, who has also produced notable films namely 118 and the upcoming Keerthy Suresh starrer, Miss India, too took to his Twitter page to express his happiness on his banner’s association with the Bigil team.

Bigil has been the talk of the town ever since the film went on floors earlier this year and has been trending also for its songs - ‘Singappenney’ and ‘Verithanam’ - both of them going on to become chartbusters. Vijay will apparently be playing the role of the coach of the Tamil Nadu women’s football team, which will include names like Reba Monica John, Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Gayathri Reddy among others. Featuring music by A. R. Rahman, Bigil also includes in its ensemble cast names like Nayanthara playing the female lead, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, comedians Vivek and Yogi Babu in vital supporting roles.
