Actor Vijay’s upcoming film, Bigil, has been the talk of the town ever since the project rolled into production earlier this year and is one of the most anticipated Tamil films in recent years. An action sports drama, director Atlee has teamed up with Vijay for the third time after delivering blockbusters namely Theri and Mersal. Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman is scoring the music for the film, which is being produced under the AGS Entertainment banner and is all set for a massive Diwali release in October. With Vijay playing the role of the coach of the Tamil Nadu women’s football team, he will be seen alongside a huge female ensemble cast among whom actress Indhuja has a key role in the film as one of the young footballers. As part of promotions for her next film, Magamuni, opposite Arya, Indhuja sat down for an interview with Galatta and shared about her working experience with Vijay in Bigil while also speaking about the gold ring he had gifted to her.

Speaking about Bigil, Indhuja states, “As an artiste, it felt completely new on the first day of shooting and like a lifetime experience on the final day of filming. This is the first time I have worked with such a big team and I will carry this experience with Vijay sir, A. R. Rahman sir, Atlee sir, Vivek sir everywhere since all of them are big stars whom I have adored while growing up.” When asked about the Bigil gold ring Vijay had presented to her along with the entire team, Indhuja says, “Apart from the fact that I got a ring from Vijay sir, it is the same memento that he had given to almost all the 400 members in the film. From the director to a small-time technician, he looked and treated everyone equally and it takes a big heart to do such a special gesture. Beyond admiring him as an actor, I have imm respect for him as a human being after traveling with him while working in Bigil,”. As for Vijay's footballing skills, Indhuja says, "As an artiste, I was spellbound with his footballing skills. Sometimes we wonder how some people reach great heights in life and the reason is because he does everything himself. Even professional football players were left awestruck at his footballing skills since some of the moves take three months to learn and he achieved it in 2 minutes. It all comes down to focus and love for what you do,".
