GALATTA BREAKING: Details on Vijay's next with Lokesh Kanagaraj after Thalapathy 64

A film that has had fans everywhere excited right from the get go, actor Vijay’s upcoming, Thalapathy 64, under Kaithi director Lokesh Kanagaraj kicked off its second schedule last week in New Delhi with a major leg of filming taking place at the Shri Ram College of Commerce. Expectations have been sky-high for Thalapathy 64 ever since production flagged off last month after a formal pooja considering Vijay is teaming up with a director whom he has never worked with ever before. Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has gone on to prove his mettle as a filmmaker in his 2017 directorial debut, Maanagaram, and the recently-released, Kaithi, is the talk of the town and new reports have been doing the rounds of late stating he and Vijay will be joining hands once again in the future after their ongoing, Thalapathy 64. That said, sources close to us have brushed aside reports of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj teaming up after Thalapathy 64 and revealed that no discussions have been held for another project where the two will collaborate together.

Thalapathy 64 has had a huge hype ever since the film’s additional cast was revealed to include names like ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, actress Malavika Mohanan, Angamaly Diaries fame Antony Varghese and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj. Being produced by Vijay’s relative, Xavier Britto under the XB Film Creators banner, the film is believed to be an intense action thriller and includes Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music. Furthermore, there are more new names in the cast among whom are Vijay’s close friends, Sanjeev and Srinath, 96 fame Gouri G. Kishan, Sriman in vital supporting roles and fans await a cracker of an entertainer when it comes in theatres as a summer release next year.
