Gearing up for a huge release this year on August 10, ‘Thala’ Ajith’s 59th film, Nerkonda Paarvai, is the official remake of the 2016 Bollywood smash hit, Pink, which had Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles.
A H. Vinoth directorial, Nerkonda Paarvai is a courtroom drama film and is being produced by Boney Kapoor under his Bayview Projects LLP banner featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The film also stars Vidya Balan as the female lead followed by Shraddha Srinath, Rangaraj Pandey, Adhik Ravichandran, Arjun Chidambaram, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Aswin Rao, Sujith Shankar, Kalki Koechlin and others in important supporting roles.
With post-production works already underway, it has now been revealed that Nerkonda Paarvai will also include actor KK Menon, who played minor supporting roles in films like Meesaya Murukku, Naachiyaar and Imaikkaa Nodigal.
KK Menon will be seen playing the role of a HR manager in Nerkonda Paarvai, which will be on the same lines as in the original film, Pink. The actor further described his role to be a brief one and added that he does not have any combination scenes with Ajith in the film.
It must be noted that KK Menon was initially a corporate professional and kicked off his acting career on a bang by landing a role in director Shankar’s sci-fi action blockbuster, 2.0, which had ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles.
The up-and-coming actor was recently seen in the Malayalam film, Uyare, starring Parvathy and Tovino Thomas in the lead roles, and is getting a tremendous response.
KK Menon is said to have a handful of films lined up in his kitty next and will also be seen in the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan starrer, Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, in which he will be seen playing a businessman and a friend of director Gautham Menon’s character.
