A project that has raised massive curiosity right from the time it was announced, Thala 60, will see Ajith and director H. Vinoth reuniting for the second time after their upcoming Nerkonda Paarvai, hitting theatres on August 8. Thala 60 will roll into production from the end of August under producer Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP banner in light of an April 2020 release plan. Meanwhile, there are now reports stating up-and-coming star Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of Boney Kapoor and late actress, Sridevi, would be making debut in Tamil cinema in the forthcoming Ajith film. That said, when we enquired with our sources regarding this matter, they were quick to deny it saying Janhvi Kapoor's inclusion is nothing else than just a rumor.
Expectations are massive for Thala 60 ever since producer Boney Kapoor revealed in an interview for Nerkonda Paarvai promotions stating the project will be a fast-paced action thriller. There were talks that the film centres around racing after Boney Kapoor stated in a rather cryptic manner it will be racy, which director H. Vinoth eventually went on to deny saying then that the script work for the project wasn't completely finished. As of now, all eyes are on Ajith playing the role of a middle-aged lawyer with a past in Nerkonda Paarvai, oming out in theatres in less than a week’s time.
