Leading Tamil actor-producer Suriya paid a visit to the sets of his wife-actress Jyotika's next film, Kaathal - The Core, which stars Mammootty in the lead role, with a photo now being released by the Malayalam superstar on Twitter. Social media has been abuzz on Wednesday, November 9, with the National Award-winning Tamil actor's visit to the shooting spot of the upcoming Malayalam film, which is being directed by Jeo Baby of The Great Indian Kitchen fame. Apart from the picture released by Mammootty, there have been several videos of Suriya making an appearance at the Kaathal - The Core sets, including another photo where the duo is seen taking a break during the shooting along with Jyotika. 

Kaathal - The Core marks Jyotika's comeback to Malayalam cinema after 13 years after she starred in Seetha Kalyanam in 2009. There has been a lot of excitement surrounding the film after its first look was released on the actress' birthday on October 18. The Kaathal - The Core first look grabbed instant attention among fans showing a photograph of Jyotika and Mammootty together and thus hinting the film is on the lines of a poetic love story backed by powerful emotions. Expectations for Kaathal - The Core are huge as fans are looking forward to witnessing some great acting on the big screen by both Mammootty and Jyotika, who have established themselves as powerhouse talents in Indian cinema. Being produced by Mammootty's Mammootty Kampany in association with Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films banner, Kaathal - The Core has a talented technical team on board among whom include music director Mathews Pulickan, cinematographer Salu K Thomas, editor Francies Louis, and art director Shajie Naduvil, while Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria have written the story. Suriya, on the other hand, has a busy schedule up ahead as he is currently filming for the tentatively titled Suriya 42 with Bollywood youth sensation Disha Patani under Siva's direction. He also has in his lineup the much-awaited Vanangaan, which marks his reunion with ace director Bala.
