Suriya is on cloud 9 these past few days after the stupendous response to his action-packed performance in Kamal Haasan's Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. The actor-producer, who appeared in a cameo in the action thriller as the character Rolex has been the talk of the town and will be reprising the role once again either in Kaithi 2 or Vikram 3. Suriya, who has had a sensational run over the past two years after his critically-acclaimed performances in Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim, while also tasting massive box office success in Etharkkum Thunindhavan, will also be joining hands with blockbuster director Siva for a project, which was initially announced to be coming out under producer K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green banner.

The Suriya-Siva project, initially tentatively titled Suriya 39, has been talked about a lot since it was first announced in early 2019, with the venture since then put on hold as both of them have had to fulfill their other film commitments. That being said, producer Gnanavelraja during an exclusive interview with Galatta, opened up about the highly-anticipated film and the big changes that the project has since undergone. The Studio Green chief said, "The Suriya-Siva project is still on, but UV Creations (producers of Saaho and Radhe Shyam) will instead be producing it. Due to the film’s scale, the film's budget became bigger." It now remains to be seen when production on the Suriya-Siva film will kick off as fans are looking forward to the remainder of the cast and crew announcements.

Suriya is currently producing his upcoming Suriya 41 under National Award-winning filmmaker Bala's direction after they previously collaborated in Nandha and Pithamagan. The actor-producer will also be joining hands with director Vetri Maaran for the first time for the highly-anticipated Vaadivaasal, which is being bankrolled under Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner and will feature music by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
