Director Vetri Maaran has yet again proved why he is one of the best in the business with his recent release Asuran. Asuran, starring Dhanush and Manju Warrier in lead roles hit the theatres last Friday (October 4th) and the movie has opened to positive reviews all around adding another valuable stone to Vetri Maaran's crown.

After Asuran, Vetri Maaran was widely touted to begin working on his next project which will have comedian-actor Soori as the lead and after that Vetri was expected to resume his work for the highly anticipated Vada Chennai 2. The info about Vetri Maaran and Suriya joining hands is a surprise, as Surya was expected to team up with Siruthai Siva after finishing Soorarai Pottru.
