For director Venkatesh who has helmed quite a few successful ‘mass’ flicks, Summa Nachunnu Irukku is a new genre. an experiment of sorts, made possible only with the support of a great team. “I’ve been wanting to do a full-length comedy for a while. But the time has come only now. Comedy is the flavour of the season, and I had the script that would just blend in,” says Venkatesh as he begins to unveil his latest journey.

“The story begins here and then moves on to Malaysia. It revolves around a guy, who plans to cheat a family for his own gain. How he goes about it and how his plans take on a different form or go out of hand, is where the humour comes in,” reveals Thaman, the lead actor. The youngster has a couple of movies to his name, including Esthell Entertainment’s previous venture Sattam Oru Iruttarai. “Since I was experimenting with this genre and didn’t want to go for big actors, it was my producers who suggested Thaman or the lead role. They had already worked with him and I went with their suggestion. And I must say that I have no regrets in doing so,” admits
