It is common knowledge now that STR is playing an extended cameo in the upcoming thriller, Maha, which will see Hansika in the lead role and is incidentally her 50th film in her career. The two are coming back for the film after their Vaalu in 2005, which was a moderate box office success. Back then, the two stars were a couple for a while after which the duo split for reasons best known to them with their pairing since then remaining a hot favorite among fans. Now, with Simbu and Hansika working together in Maha, a recent Twitter tweet by the film’s director U. R. Jameel set many fans debating about their relationship status after he described them to be a "magical couple".
Jameel reently clarified saying, “I am making a film and when I wrote the script, it had characters deeply in love. Simbu and Hansika are paired up romantically in my film. And even on the sets, I narrated the same as what I had penned. Both of them are very professional and they did what the script demanded. I am happy with the outcome. That’s why I called them a ‘magical couple’. Nothing more to it!”. Recently, a song was shot for Maha featuring both STR and Hansika in Goa with shooting spot images going on to trend on social networking forums.
Being produced by Etcetera Entertainment with music by Ghibran, Maha also includes actor Srikanth playing the male lead followed by Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Nassar among others in important roles with actress and choreographer Gayathri Raghuram choreographing a song featuring both STR and Hansika.
