One of Tamil cinema’s most popular stars, Silambarasan T. Rajendar, lovingly called by his fans as STR and/or Simbu, was last seen in director Sundar. C’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven and also in Mani Ratnam’s action gangster blockbuster, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. Likewise, the multi-talented actor had recently announced he would direct and star in a film titled, Maghaa Maanaadu, under his father T. Rajendhar's Chimbu Cine Arts banner after moving out of director Venkat Prabhu’s Maanaadu. That said, it has now been revealed that Simbu has planned to meet important representatives of his fan clubs upon his return to Chennai and also hold discussions on the various changes and improvements that are to be made in the near future. Furthermore, it is said he has big plans that will benefit the society in the long run while adding a note to fans telling them to expect the unexpected. As for his next film, STR is also working on Studio Green’s tentatively titled, STR 45, alongside Gautham Karthik being helmed by hit Kannada director, Narthan. Recently, during the promotions of the Arya starrer, Magamuni, producer K. E. Gnanavelraja had issued a statement saying STR 45 is going to be a massive feast for Simbu fans, who have been waiting to witness the star in a never before seen avatar that has a lot of intensity packed in. As for his upcoming next starring role, Simbu is also set to be seen in an extended cameo in the upcoming Hansika starrer, Maha, which incidentally will mark their reunion on the big screen after Vaalu in 2015.
