Andava Kaanom is a film that’s been waiting for a proper release for more than 3 years and it has been delayed due to various financial reasons. This pandemic has finally paved the way for the film to release directly on OTT platform on the lines of Jyotika’s Ponmagal Vandhal, Keerthy Suresh’s Penguin, Yogi Babu’s Cocktail, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s Danny, and more. Andava Kaanom features Sriya Reddy in the lead role and she will be seen playing the character of Shanthi. As the title suggests, the film revolves around a lost utensil that belongs to Shanthi (Sriya Reddy). Has it been stolen and if so, who has taken it? The answers to these questions will be known in the film which is all set to release on August 28.

The film is produced by J.Sathish Kumar under the banner of JSK Film Corporation and he has created a new OTT platform to release his films. Yes! Andava Kaanom will release on a new OTT platform called JSK Prime Media and the app will be live in the next few days. The other two films produced by JSK Sathish Kumar - Arun Vijay’s long delayed Vaa Deal and the horror thriller Mummy: Save Me will also release on JSK Prime Media platform.

Ahead of the release, the makers have released a new teaser of Andava Kaanom which looks interesting. It can be noted that the teaser and trailer for the film was already released a few years before when it was supposed to release in theatres. This newly released teaser is fun and interesting and it looks like the film will be high on realism and emotions. The nativity looks real and it adds to the authenticity of the premise. Sriya Reddy’s makeover is something to watch out for and it is indeed great to see her back on screen after quite some time.

The fans who enjoyed Sriya Reddy’s performance in Vishal’s Thimiru will definitely look forward to Andava Kaanom as we see her get back to that mood. The Anda will have a voice over by Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and his voice is going to make the film even more special and interesting. The film will also talk about the emotional relationship between Shanth and the anda. With a fascinating and a very interesting premise at hand, let us hope that Andava Kaanom wins the hearts of the Tamil audience when it releases.

Directed by C Velmathi, Andava Kaanom has music scored by Ashwamithra, cinematography by P.V.Shankar and editing by Sathyaraj Natarajan. Get ready to witness Sriya Reddy's Andava Kaanom from the 28th of August on JSK Prime Media. For now, check out the newly released teaser here:
