Sridevika: New rising star

Voluptuous beauty Sridevika is yet another star rising from Palakkad, widely known for the birth of many talentedSouth Indian actresses. Thisglamorous babe recently became the centre of media attention when she was selected in Gnabagangal, which marks the acting debut of National Award winner Lyricist Pa. Vijay.

Sridevika, a graduate in English Literature who is currently pursuing a correspondence course in MBA, had no idea of becoming an actress! But fate had its way when she won a best model title in 2003. She was thenmodelling for jewellery and cotton textiles. Within days, Sridevika was called by Pazhani Kumar of Sivasakthi Movies for the heroine's role in Jai Akash's Ramakrishna.

Later, Sridevika went on to do films in all South Indian languages except Telugu. Anbe Vaa in Tamil, Avan Chandiyude Makan, Parthan Kanda Paralokam, Chembada and Anjali Menon's children's movie Manchadikkuru in Malayalam, My Autograph, Neela Kanda, Santha and Kshana Kshana in Kannada are her other movies. Sridevika is currently busy with three films: Sreenivasan's Samayam in Malayalam, Sami's Sarithiram and Gnabagangal in Tamil.

Sridevika is the daughter of an agriculturist Sethumadhavan and Shoba. Her sister Sri Vidhya issettled in the US. We wish all the very best to Sridevika in her all endeavours.
