One of the top playback singers in the film industry, SP Balasubrahmanyam fell ill during the inaugural function of International Indian Film Festival of South Africa (IIFFSA). The actor was present for the fest to receive his life time achievement award for his work in the Indian cinema. But, due to his sudden illness, he rushed back home, after receiving his award. The reason of his ill-health is not known.
