Sivakarthikeyan’s SK 14 was launched last year amidst much hype and excitement with Indru Netru Naalai director R. Ravikumar helming the project under RD Raja’s 24AM Studios banner. One of the biggest highlights of the film is Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, who is scoring the music for the film with its broadcast rights going on to be bagged by Sun TV. With a major chunk of filming already wrapped, there have been reports stating the film’s production has shifted hands from 24AM Studios to Sivakarthikeyan himself producing it under his Sivakarthikeyan Productions banner. That said, we had spoken to director R. Ravikumar who stated, "I am unaware of any such development," regarding the change of the production house rumors. He then added, "Only the final schedule in SK 14 remains, which will begin soon".

R. Ravikumar additionally went on to add saying, "The CG portions in SK 14 are being taken care of simultaneously along with the film’s shooting,". Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh are the lead pair and will be seen alongside Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran in vital supporting roles. There has been a huge buzz for the film ever since production kicked off last year considering it is set in the science-fiction genre and will include aliens as a core plot element.
