Sivakarthikeyan has been ruling the roost in Tamil cinema for quite some time now and the last two years have been extremely monumental in the growth of his career and star status. The leading Tamil actor-producer delivered back-to-back 100 crore blockbusters with Doctor (2021) and Don (2022), and hoped to make it a hat-trick with his Prince released for Diwali last year, but fell short, and will be next looking to hit it out of the park with his upcoming ventures among which include the highly-anticipated Maaveeran, an action entertainer, and the much-awaited sci-fi film, Ayalaan.
With Sivakarthikeyan at present busy filming Maaveeran, the actor shared the big happy news with fans informing them that his beloved sister Gowri has been honored with the 'Best Doctor' award in the Chennai district during the 2023 Republic Day celebrations event. She has been felicitated with the distinction for her services in Pathology at the Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital, with Sivakarthikeyan saying how proud his father would have been while adding that her honesty and sincerity will take her to greater heights. As for Sivakarthikeyan, apart from Maaveeran and Ayalaan, the actor will also be joining hands with filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy of Rangoon fame for the tentatively titled SK 21, which will be produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) banner in association with Sony Pictures Films India (SPFI), and will also feature Sai Pallavi as the female lead. The Maaveeran actor had also confirmed in October last year that he will be collaborating with blockbuster director Venkat Prabhu next as well for a venture together. On the production front, it is being stated that SK's Sivakarthikeyan Productions banner is producing Koozhangal director PS Vinothraj's new film, which will star Soori and Malayalam sensation Anna Ben in the lead roles, with an official announcement regarding the project currently being awaited.
