Reputed production banner, Sun Pictures’ next big venture planned for a September 27 theatrical release is the Sivakarthikeyan starrer, Namma Veettu Pillai, under director Pandiraj and features music by D. Imman, whose compositions have turned out to be a success after the film’s audio was launched a few days back. A rural entertainer, Sun Pictures will be looking to hit the bullseye once again after their previous back-to-back blockbusters, Vijay’s Sarkar and Rajinikanth’s Petta. Production on Namma Veettu Pillai kicked off earlier this year with the team wrapping up filming and plans to carry forward with post-production works at a complete stretch next. Pictures from the Namma Veettu Pillai shooting spot wrap party have gone viral on social networking forums in which we can see director Pandiraj, Sivakarthikeyan and the film’s heroine Anu Emmanuel along with the remaining supporting cast and crew too being present.
Expectations for Namma Veettu Pillai are quite high considering director Pandiraj is coming back after the blockbuster success of his Kadaikutty Singam that came out last year. He also is reuniting with Sivakarthikeyan after their partnership in 2012 for the smash hit film, Marina, which saw the star become a lead hero after starring in supporting roles. Promotions for the film are being carried out extensively by Sun Pictures with the Namma Veettu Pillai album getting a solid response from fans. The film includes a huge star cast among whom are actress Aishwarya Rajesh, who is playing Sivakarthikeyan’s sister alongside veteran director Bharathiraja, Samuthirakani, cinematographer turned actor Natarajan Subramaniam, RK Suresh, comedians Yogi Babu and Soori, Bigg Boss 3 fame Meera Mitun and director Pandiraj’s son Anbukarasu in starring roles.
