As per the latest update from our reliable sources, the shooting of Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor has resumed from today (September 25) in Chennai. Yes! The makers have resumed shooting and have planned to film the remaining portions for the next few weeks. Around 75% of the shooting is over and the leftover portions will be completed in this schedule. Sivakarthikeyan is taking part in this shoot and the team is expected to shoot scenes involving him. The shooting will happen following the protocols of Covid 19 and the crew will not involve more than 75 people. A few days before, it was announced that the film’s dubbing works began. Now that the dubbing works are complete (for the completed portions), the team has got back to production to finish the remaining scenes. After Thala Ajith's Valimai, now SK's Doctor is the second big league film to resume production after the intense lockdown.

Doctor is going to be Sivakarthikeyan’s next release after Hero and it has got a pretty good expectation among the fans. The first two singles from the film were released during the lockdown period and one among those, ‘Chellamma’, turned out to be a mega chartbuster. With a good hype surrounding the project, we can expect the team to confidently deliver a quality film. Doctor is directed by Nelson of Kolamaavu Kokila fame and produced by Sivakarthikeyan Productions in association with KJR Studios. Nelson and Sivakarthikeyan share a very good rapport and the duo have worked together during the Vijay TV days. They strike a good wavelength and we can probably witness that through the film.

Doctor has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R Nirmal. The film’s star cast features Gang Leader fame Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead and Vinay, Yogi Babu, VJ Archana, Redin Kingsley in supporting roles. Doctor is touted to be a fun filled comedy entertainer with a good mix of action and romance. In an earlier interview with Galatta Media, director Nelson had said that Doctor would showcase Sivakarthikeyan in a different style and promised that it would be a fun watch.
