Silambarasan TR 47 (STR 47) has been titled Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and the first look poster of the film has been unveiled. The first look was released this morning (August 6) and we need to admit that the poster looks stunning. The poster is super fresh and STR's makeover as a young guy looks impressive. Unlike the usual GVM films, the first look of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu looks raw and intense. We hear that Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will be an action entertainer that will showcase STR in a different dimension. Gautham Menon is known for picking his film titles from classic Tamil songs and this time, he has taken Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, from Mahakavi Bharathiyar's famous song, 'Agnikunjondru Kanden'.

The project was initially titled Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriya, but the makers have now changed the title to Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu. Produced by Isari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will have music composed by A.R.Rahman. The magical trio of STR, Gautham Menon, and A.R.Rahman are coming together for the third time after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. The shooting of VTK has begun today at Tiruchendur and this first schedule is expected to happen for the next few days. Radikaa Sarathkumar is a part of the film and she will be starting to shoot for the film alongside Simbu in this first schedule.

The film has already got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs and if things go as per plan, we can expect the movie to be out by the mid of next year. Details regarding the female lead and the rest of the cast are yet to be known. Rajeevan and Anthony will be heading the art direction and editing departments respectively.

STR's next release in Tamil cinema will be Maanaadu which is helmed by Venkat Prabhu under the production of Suresh Kamatchi. Maanaadu is touted to release in theatres around a festive weekend.
