If the latest reports inside K-town are to be believed, Shruti Haasan has signed her next film in Tamil and she will be joining hands with director Deekay for this new one. Director Deekay is known for helming films like Yaamirukka Bayamey, Kavalai Vendaam, and more. An official announcement on the project is expected to be made in the coming days and it looks like an interesting project is on the cards. It is said that the Shruti Haasan starrer will be a female-centric film with an interesting story line and further updates are awaited.

Director Deekay has already completed two films and is awaiting the release of both - the long-delayed Kaatteri (Vaibhav) produced by Studio Green and the Kajal Aggarwal starrer Karungaapiyam. Regina Cassandra and Janani Iyer play the other leads in Karungaapiyam. It will indeed be interesting to see what Shruti Haasan and Deekay create together and a formal announcement on the same is awaited.

Shruti Haasan was last seen in the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Laabam directed by late SP Jhananathan. Up next, she has two exciting mega biggies in Telugu - NBK 107 and Salaar. NBK 107 features Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role and is directed by Gopichandh Malineni and has Shruti playing the female lead. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this mega action drama has music composed by Thaman S. Shruti is also a part of the highly anticipated Prabhas starrer Salaar, directed by KGF sensation Prashanth Neel. Salaar is a high octane action entertainer that is being shot on a grand scale under the production of Hombale Films.

Salaar will feature Shruti Haasan playing the character of Aadya. Jagapathi Babu will be playing a pivotal role in this film that will have music composed by Ravi Basrur and cinematography handled by Bhuvan Gowda.
