Yashika Anand who rose to fame with her participation in the second season of the television reality show Bigg Boss has spoken about casting couch and the massive MeToo movement that has shaken the film fraternity. Speaking to media, Yashika Anand revealed an incident that happened to her during an audition and has also spoken in support of the MeToo movement.

Revealing her shocking experience, Yashika said, "Every woman in the industry goes through that experience. I have also experienced it. I went to meet a director. He is a big director. He is like a father to a top hero. I don't wanna name him. Because it was so hard to get those thoughts out of my mind. At that time when I did an audition for them, they told my mother to ask me to go outside and they would like to discuss something with her. They told my mother that if she wants this role then your daughter has to sleep with me only then I am gonna give her this role. So I thought why should I compromise to become a star and why are people taking advantage of their positions. Things like this happens a lot."

About the MeToo movement, Yashika said, "When everybody is joining hands and they are trying to bring this forward. I think it is going to be a very good impact. I support MeToo and I hope everyone else supports to make this a big movement. Because we need to create an example and there are girls in rural areas where they are not allowed to speak about these things. I definitely think that we need to change that and we have to come out and show how strong we are."
