Leading Tamil film production house Dream Warrior Pictures have made several notable films over the years that have brought the banner both acclaim and commercial success. Having entered film production with the Karthi-starrer Saguni in 2012, S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures has since made films with the star like Kaashmora, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaithi, including Sulthan most recently. The successful production house is also noted for making the National Award-winning film Joker, the smash hit political drama Aruvi and the Suriya-starrer NGK

Having tasted massive success earlier this year with Sulthan, starring Karthi and South Indian sensation Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, Dream Warrior Pictures subsequently announced their first Telugu production venture titled Oke Oka Jeevitham. Directed by debutant Shree Karthick, Oke Oka Jeevitham starring Engeyum Eppodhum fame Sharwanand and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal heroine Ritu Varma as the lead pair, the upcoming film will also be coming out as a bilingual, with the Tamil version's title officially being revealed on Friday.

Taking to their social media handles, Dream Warrior Pictures dropped the announcement that Oke Oka Jeevitham has been titled as Kanam in Tamil, with the makers also releasing a title poster. Touted to be a family drama with sci-fi elements, the film will also see Sharwanand and Ritu Varma sharing screen space alongside actress Amala Akkineni, who is returning to a full-fledged role after Life is Beautiful (2012), with Sathish and Ramesh Thilak cast in pivotal roles. Filming on Oke Oka Jeevitham / Kanam has already been wrapped up, with post-production works currently underway and an intriguing motion poster for the Telugu version released in July receiving positive feedback.
