Rashmi Gautam is sure shot one of the most popular TV anchors, predominantly in E TV and has acted in a couple of movies. Now she is all set to branch out to debut in the creative OTT streaming platform. On being impressed by the innovative content and plotline the web series provides, which is to be directed by Sekhar Suri of A Film by Aravind fame. The filming of this web series has already begun and it also features Srikanth and Satyadev apart from Rashmi Gautam.
Rashmi Gautam has also been featured as the female lead in Shanthnu Bhagyaraj's 2011 romantic comedy flick, Kanden. Her role was even appreciated by the critics, despite the movie flunked at the box office big time. It was also rumoured that actress Sangeetha Krish had spotted her performing in a supporting role and referred her to Mugil, the writer and director of Kanden. The movie had Santhanam, Ashish Vidyarthi and Vijayakumar in the supporting roles.
