Imsai Arasan 23aam Pulikesi is still caught up in legal entanglements. The censor board refused to censor and certify the movie, due to the large number of horses and other animals featured in the historical movie. They required a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Animal Welfare Board, (which was not forthcoming to issue the certificate). Director Shankar had filed a case against the censor board following this. The case is being prosecuted in the Chennai High Court.
Director Shankar and the hero of Imsai Arasan Vadivelu, met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi regarding the issue. They elaborated the problems faced by Imsai Arasan. The CM has promised to look into the issue and help Imsai Arasan find a way out!
