Actor Jiiva's first film of 2020, Seeru, is hitting screens worldwide on February 7, and has been directed by Rekka fame Rathna Siva under Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh's Vels Film International banner. An action film, the story primarily revolves around a prevalent social issue with promotions being carried out extensively by the makers, who have now released the second sneak peek video, which has Jiiva and friends confronting a group of individuals under suspicion all while his sister, Gayathri Krishnaa of Merku Thodarchi Malai and Joker fame, is in labour.

Expectations for Seeru have zoomed upwards over the past few days for Seeru considering Vels Film International have dropped a high-octane trailer that presented Jiiva once again in action mode after quite sometime. D. Imman's songs in the film as well have been receiving a huge response among fans; especially the 'Sevvanthiye' track sung by the visually-challenged singer Thirumoorthy, going on to become a chart-buster.

Apart from Jiiva and Gayathri, Seeru includes Riya Suman playing the female lead, Telugu actor Navdeep as the antagonist followed by Puppy hero Varun, Sathish, Goli Soda fame Chandhini, , RNR Manohar, ‘Lollu Sabha’ Swaminathan, Kadhal Saravanan, Frank among others in supporting roles.
