Villain turned hero, actor Sathyaraj has redefined his career entirely by playing some very powerful roles in his second innings as a supporting actor! Some of his roles like Kattappa in the Baahubali franchise, received as much acclaim as the movie's leads itself! After quite a period of time, Sathyaraj is returning as a hero, in the upcoming action thriller Theerpugal Virkapadum! This movie has been dubbed in Telugu and will be releasing in Tollywood as Emergency. Now, the first look poster of Emergency has been released by director Maruthi of Prati Roju Pandaage fame.

Theerpugal Virkapadum will see Smruthi Venkat of Thadam fame, playing Sathyaraj's daughter. This movie is reportedly based on a father's quest to avenge the injustices meted to his daughter. He will be seen playing a gynaecologist for the first time in his career, in this movie. Debutante Dheran is marking his directorial debut with this movie, which is being produced by Sajeev Meera Sahob Rawther under the HoneyBee Creations banner.

The support cast of Theerpugal Virkapadum/Emergency, includes Harish Uthaman, Lizzy Antony, George Maryan, Madhusudhan Rao, Sriranjani, Renuka and Charle, among others. Prasad SN is scoring the music for this movie, which has Anji's cinematography and Noufal Abdullah's editing. The release date for this movie has not been finalised yet. Sathyaraj played an important role in director Maruthi's Prati Roju Pandaage, which had Sai Dharam Tej and Raashi Khanna in the lead. This Telugu movie released in December and is still going strong at the theatres!
