Dhanush's next big release would be Jagame Thandhiram and the fans are excitedly waiting to witness the film. Had the situation been normal, the film would've released on May 1, but due to the unexpected outbreak of Coronavirus, the release has been indefinitely postponed. One is not sure when the theatres will reopen and we will have to wait for a few more weeks to get a better clarity on that. Meanwhile, there have been numerous speculations regarding the release of Jagame Thandhiram and a section of media had reported that Dhanush has agreed for an OTT release and the production house is planning to release the film directly on Netflix. With big ticket films like Soorarai Pottru now planning to release on OTT directly, Dhanush fans are worried if Jagame Thandhiram team would also take the same route. However, producer of the film Sasikanth has clarified that he has no plans to release the film on OTT and is waiting for the theatres to open to screen the film. His tweet reads as follows: “#Jagamethendiram Jagam is still healing & not back to normal Untill then, be patient for the theatres to open & don’t believe in rumours The entire team is waiting to see @dhanushkraja go #rakitarakita on a big screen soon Just #chillbro.”

Apart from Dhanush, Jagame Thandhiram’s cast includes Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Game Of Thrones fame James Cosmo, Kalaiyarasan, Sharath Ravi, Sanchana Natarajan, and others. Dhanush will be seen playing the role of ‘Suruli’, a local gangster in Madurai who travels to London for a mission. Let us hope that the situation gets under control as soon as possible so that people can return to their normal lives and watch movies in the theatres. The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan and we can expect him to deliver a chartbuster album through Jagame Thandhiram. The first single from the album Rakita Rakita Rakita is already a huge hit among fans, even meme creators are using the audio a lot. It has turned out to be an instant sensation. We can expect all the other tracks to be as successful as the first single.
