The excitement for ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Sarkar is quite evident as fans have given a rousing reception to the film’s posters unveiled so far.
A Sun Pictures production being directed by A. R. Murugadoss with music by Oscar Nayagan A. R. Rahman, Sarkar has been announced for a Diwali release in November.
Meanwhile, for a while now, fans have been pondering over the story of Sarkar as well as Vijay’s character in the action political drama.
It is being speculated Vijay is an NRI, who goes after corrupt politicians by running a counter governance for the prosperity of the people.
AR. Murugadoss has always laid emphasis on social issues in his films and this speculated synopsis of Sarkar sure seems to be on the lines of ‘Captain’ Vijayakanth’s blockbuster, Ramana, released in 2002.
As of now, we can be sure A. R. Murugadoss won’t be repeating Ramana completely in terms of the story in Sarkar, but certain common elements could likely be included.
Sarkar has been progressing at a brisk pace in production with actress Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead.
Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has gone on to describe her role in the film to be the most important in her career and she will also be joining Vijay in the upcoming US schedule later this month.
