Sarathkumar’s 1977, a marvel

Sarathkumar’s forthcoming film 1977, which readying for release is a marvel, says its director Dinesh Kumar. He says that 1977, the costliest Sarathkumar film ever, is perfectly balanced with all entertaining factors and will appeal to a broad spectrum of society.

Speaking about 1977, Dinesh said that the entire film is a highlight; there is not a single moment that can be termed plain! He is also sure that audiences will find 1977, in which Sarath plays a father and a son again, completely different from his previous father-son movies.

The film’s chief highlights:

The film has been shot in four sections – the story begins in an Indian village in the first part; it moves on to a city in the second; the third and final parts take us to Malaysia. Each part will be shown with a different background tint.

Sarathkumar, who has toned up his body and shed much weight, strikes awe in youths obsessed with six-packs. Heroines Namitha and Farzana add to the glamour quotient. Director Dinesh feels that he cannot think of any other actors in their roles now!

Though the director finds it hard to pinpoint a particular stunt as the film’s highlight, as all of them are dear to him, he thinks the high fall performed by Sarath and Namitha (using cables) and Sarath’s fight scene in Twin Towers would remain in public memories for long.

Above all, the film has a climax on par with Hollywood films like Matrix! The climax runs for 20 minutes and Sarath, who looks his muscular best, has carried out several difficult stunts with style. Dinesh assures the climax will be very exciting and will thrill even those who dislike action movies!

With all these attractions packed up, 1977 will release in more than 180 prints in Tamil Nadu alone!
