Santhanam, one of the busiest actors in town, has teamed up with director Rathna Kumar of Meyaadha Maan and Aadai fame for his next and the development has made the fans look forward to the project. The title and motion poster of the film was unveiled today evening (March 16) and it looks interestingly done. This Santhanam - Rathna Kumar film has been titled Gulu Gulu and it looks to be a promising comedy entertainer. The motion poster gives us a sneak peek into the character played by Santhanam. From what we see, Gulu Gulu is nothing but Google, pronounced in a different way, and it looks like a quality film awaits us.

The motion poster was released by five prominent directors from the industry - Gautham Vasudev Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, Venkat Prabhu, Nelson Dilipkumar, and Lokesh Kanagaraj. Gulu Gulu is expected to be completely different from Rathna Kumar's previous movies - Meyaadha Maan and Aadai. Athulya Chandra of Mathu Vadalara fame plays the female lead in this film, marking her debut in Tamil cinema. The supporting cast of Gulu Gulu includes Namita Krishnamurthy, Pradeep Rawat, Mariyam George, Sai Dheena, TSR, Bipin, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Lollu Sabha Seshu, Kavi, Harish, Yuvaraj, Mauri Dass and others.

Produced by Raj Narayanan under the banner of Circle Box Entertainment, Gulu Gulu has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Philomin Raj of Master fame has edited the film which has cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and art direction by Jacki. The shooting of Gulu Gulu has been completed and the post-production works are said to be happening in full swing. Keeping aside Gulu Gulu, Rathna Kumar has also worked as one of the dialogue writers of Kamal Haasan's Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Santhanam, who was last seen in Sabhaapathy, has two other films lined up in his kitty - Agent Kannayiram and an untitled film with director Prashant Raj.
