One of the most popular stars in Tamil cinema, comedian turned hero Santhanam is currently associated with five films in the lead role. The actor’s first release of the year, Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 turned out to be a successful summer outing and managed to emulate a similar success as its 2016 original, Dhilluku Dhuddu, which was a box office hit. With the horror comedy films turning out to be triumphant ventures, it was revealed a while back that Santhanam and director Rambhala were returning to franchise once again for the third time with the upcoming project’s title revealed to be Dhilluku Dhuddu 3 along with plans to make it in 3D. Now, sources close to us have revealed that Dhilluku Dhuddu 3 will begin shooting from October later this year with plans to get it out in theatres sometime next year.
Apart from Dhilluku Dhuddu 3, Santhanam will next be seen in A1 hitting screens tomorrow (July 26) with his film lineup also including the long-delayed Selvaraghavan-directed romantic film, Mannavan Vanthanadi and Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum in various stages of development, Server Sundaram, yet to release and Dagaalty, which he is currently filming for.
