Sameera Reddy, who remained silent when her item number went to Mallika Sherawat opens up her heart. Tezz's director Priyadarshan wanted Sameera Reddy to perform the item number Laila. But the producer who was very keen to cast Mallika Sherawat filmed the song featuring Mallika without Priyan's knowledge.
Sameera who was reported to be upset over this, says that she could have done better than Mallika, in the item number. She further states that, though the film received positive response, Mallika's item song Laila was criticized a lot.
